The Governor is ordering the lowering of flags to honor the now more than 3,000 Kansans who have lost their lives to the COVID-19 pandemic. In a news release Governor Kelly says, "My administration remains committed to fighting the further spread of COVID-19 and I know Kansans will do their part to protect their neighbors and loved ones."
Flags will remain at half-staff from sunup to sundown Thursday. The current death toll across the state now stands at 3,027 as of Wednesday.
