The Kansas Highway Patrol investigated two injury crashes in Coffey County on Tuesday.

The first wreck happened on US Highway 75 near 25th Road Northwest, or about three miles south of BETO Junction, just after 1:45 pm. The Highway Patrol says 18-year-old Nicole Hughes of Vassar was southbound on Highway 75 when she drifted across one lane of traffic. She overcorrected, sending her car off the highway before it rolled onto its top.

Hughes was taken to Coffey County Hospital in Burlington with suspected minor injuries. She was wearing her seatbelt.

Shortly after 3 pm, troopers were called to Wayside Road and Second Lane, about five miles southeast of LeRoy for a second wreck. Troopers says 32-year-old Ryan Gleue of LeRoy was driving at a high rate of speed when he went off Wayside Road. His pickup hit a fence, tree and creek embankment before stopping.

Gleue went to Coffey County Hospital for treatment with suspected minor injuries. He was not wearing his seatbelt.
