Twin Rivers Junior Shooting Sports added to its coffers Saturday so young shooters could have more opportunities in the sport.

The organization held its annual banquet and auction at the Fairgrounds Anderson Building. Organizer and spokesperson Bev Hilbish says the programs supported by Twin Rivers offer a structured learning environment for young shooters. Meanwhile, those participating can take several lessons with them through their lives.

Close to 80 people attended. Fundraising totals are pending. The event is the main fundraiser for the club, helping other youth shooting organizations hold different events or buy equipment.
