Saturday will be an exciting day for the Kansas Masonic Foundation.

State leaders of the Kansas Masons will be in Emporia this Saturday afternoon for the dedication of the new Kansas Masonic Literacy Center. The center and dedication ceremony will be located at Visser Hall in the Atrium at 11 am.

The dedication ceremony is the culmination of a 10 year $4 million-plus effort to provide local children with more opportunity to expand their literary knowledge. Following the dedication, the Masonic Grand Master and a group of local elementary students will be at Welch Stadium to deliver the game ball for the Emporia State Nebraska Kearney football game.

There will be a tailgate before the game gets underway at 2 pm. For more information find the Kansas Masonic Literacy Center on Facebook.
