Five individuals avoided serious injuries following a single vehicle accident on the Kansas Turnpike with minor injuries Sunday morning.

The accident was reported at mile marker 148 northbound, one mile northeast of the Admire-Council Grove exit just before 9 am.  According to the Kansas Turnpike Authority a 2014 GMC Acadia carrying five passengers, two adults and three children, was traveling northbound.
