A generous donation is bringing Flint Hills Technical College one step closer to their fundraising total for a new renovation project.

The Reeble Foundation recently delivered a $100,000 donation which will be put towards a future expansion for the FHTC culinary arts program.

FHTC Vice President of Advancement Mike Crouch says the college is extremely fortunate to be in a community dedicated to elevating the education of students.

A major part of the renovation will be increasing the space of facilities and the creation of a new state of the art demonstration kitchen. Crouch explains what that will entail.

Crouch added he feels the program is one of the best in the state and with the renovations, could rise even higher.

Thanks to the donation, the campaign total currently sits at $600,000 or 25 percent of the way towards the 2.4 million dollar total. For information on how you can donate contact Mike Crouch at 620-341-1313.
