The 4-H Premium Sale wrapped up 4-H activities at this year's Lyon County Fair.

Lyon County 4-H Extension Agent Corinne Patterson says the entire "fair" experience teaches the youth very valuable lessons.

For some 4-H'ers is was their first Premium Sale experience. Cursten Allen says this is her first year in 4-H and she definitely has a better idea of some of the things she will need to do better next year.

Cursten's dad, Brant Allen, says it can be a lot of work for the entire family...but it's a great teaching experience.

Leo Dedonder is a little more of a seasoned "pro", finishing his fourth year in 4-H. Leo was selling his steer and says it's important to work with your animal every day. He also says how active you are has an impact with the buyers.

For Jack Creager, the Premium Sale signified the end of his time in 4-H. He says the entire year has been spent thinking about his time in 4-H and what he has learned.
