Austin Downing was the leading scorer for the Hornets with 17 points. Jumah'Ri Turner added 13 points.
Northwest was led by Trevor Hudgins with 26 points, he was 8-10 from the 3 point line. Diego Bernard added 19 points with 5 made 3s and Ryan Hawkins finished with 17 points.
The Hornets fall to 5-4 on the season. They return to action Thursday when they host Pittsburg State.
