Emporia State Athletic teams cleared to return to practice Featured

Emporia State University Athletic teams have been cleared to return to athletic activities.

Emporia State suspended athletic activities on September 2nd after a number of positive COVID-19 tests were found connected to student-athletes.
Most sports were allowed to return on Saturday with the remaining teams cleared on Monday.

Emporia State Head football coach Garin Higgins its feels good to be able get back on the practice field.

Emporia State Volleyball Coach Bing Xu is looking forward to getting back on the court with his team.

Student-athletes will continue to complete a daily, 11-point self-assessment. If a student-athlete tests positive, they will first need to be released by public health and then be cleared by the team physician before participating in any type of workout.
