Cartier Diarra leaving Kansas State. K-State agrees to series with Nebraska Featured

Kansas State is losing another member of the mens basketball team.

Cariter Diarra is leaving the program with the intention of turning professional, though he is leaving open the option of transferring to another school for his senior season.
Kansas State coach Bruce Weber said in a statement Thursday that Diarran will graduate this spring. That would allow Diarra to play elsewhere next season without having to redshirt.
Diarra averaged 13.3 points and 4.2 assists last season.

Kansas State and Nebraska have agreed to play again on the hardwood when they tip-off a multi-year series starting next season at the Sprint Center in Kansas City, according to tweet from CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein on Wednesday.
The series will continue at Lincoln in 2021-22 and at Manhattan in 2022-23.
K-State leads the all-time series 126-93 against Nebraska. The Wildcats are 69-35 at home, 38-55 in Lincoln, and 19-3 at a neutral venue against the Huskers in a series that began in 1906.
The Wildcats have won the last five meetings between the teams, including a 61-57 victory in Lincoln the last time they played on February 23, 2011.
