Kansas State loses first game in Puerto Rico

A second half rally by Kansas State came up short as the Wildcats were out scored by Charlotte 68-61 in the opening game of the Puerto Rico Tip-Off in San Juan on Thursday.

Charlotte led by as many as 13 points in the second half the Wildcats cut the lead to 2 with 5 minutes to play. Nigel Johnson led the Wildcats with 14 points. K-State's loss ends a two-game win streak. Kansas State will play Georgetown Friday with tip-off set for 11am.
