The Olpe Eagles dominated in all three phases of the game, defeating the Chase County Bulldogs 49-6 Friday Night. The Eagles scored on 5 of their first 6 offensive possessions and added a special teams score, in cruising to the victory.
Eagles quarterback Bo Krueger scored a rushing touchdown, threw 3 passing scores, and a returned a punt 43 yards for a touchdown. Krueger says everyone did their part in following the gameplan.
The Olpe defense put the clamps on Chase County, forcing punts on their first 6 possessions and coming up with an interception on the 7th. Krueger says the defense was following the direction of coordinator Terry Smith.
Olpe finished with 297 yards of total offense: Krueger rushed for 49 and a score, and went 3 of 4 passing for 90 yards and 3 touchdowns; Andrew Burenheide had 112 yards rushing on 9 carries; Issac Hall racked up 2 scores on 49 yards rushing; and Toby Smith had 2 touchdown receptions for 72 yards.
Chase County gained 170 yards of total offense led by Orlando Gutierrez's 74 yards on 12 carries.
Olpe improves to 5-3. Chase County falls to 2-6.
