Emporia Highs Ashley DeBauge wraps up 3 days of state tournament play at state golf tournament

Emporia Highs Ashley DeBauge finished 3 days of State tournament at the State Golf tournament Monday. Saturday and Sunday she played in the 5A state tennis tournament.

One day after playing in the 5A State tennis tournament Emporia Highs Ashley DeBauge played in the 5A state golf tournament today. She finished with a 112.

Sunday Ashley DeBauge finished in 3rd place at the 5A State tennis tournament. She was defeated in the semi-finals by eventual State champion Do-hee Lee of Andover. Ashley bounced back in her 3rd place match with a win over Allie Schulte of Kapaun Mt. Carmel. Teammate Seki Anderson finished in 9th place in singles play. As a team Emporia High finished in 5th place. Andover won the team championship.

It was the second year in a row the Emporia High sophomore played in both the State Tennis and Golf tournaments.
