ESU Volleyball wins fifth straight with 4 set win over Southwest Baptist

    The Emporia State Volleyball team defeated Southwest Baptist, at White Auditorium, in 4 sets Saturday night.  The victory was the Hornets' 5th straight win, improving their record to 13-7 overall and 4-4 in the MIAA.

    The Hornets took a tight first set 29-27 and won the second set 25-21.  The Bearcats took the third set 25-21 before the Hornets finished off the match by winning the fourth set 25-19.

     ESU coach Bing Xu was extremely pleased with the way his team battled.

     XU says the team is really beginning to understand how to put their opponents away.
