Royals offense and Ventura provide fireworks in 7-1 win over Cleveland.

Kansas City's offense provided some 4th of July fireworks, of their own, as the Royals handed the Cleveland Indians a 7-1 loss in the series openener Friday night.

Royals' starter Yordano Ventura put on a pretty dazzling display himself, as he flirted with a complete game shutout before allowing a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth.  Ventura went 8 1/3 innings, giving up one run on six hits and two walks while striking out four.

Christian Colon -- making is his first major league start -- had a triple and two doubles and scored three times, Salvador Perez had three hits, and Lorenzo Cain added a pair of RBI singles.  Mike Moustakas chipped in a three-run home run and says the performances by Colon and Ventura set the tone for the rest of the series.
