Emporia State and Emporia High wraps up KU Relays

The Emporia State and Emporia High track and field teams wrapped up the KU Relays Saturday.

 

Emporia State came home with 6 top 10 finishes. Samuel Saidi had the second best high jump, clearing the bar at 7 feet and a quarter inches. Briar Ploud was 7th in the high jump. The mens 4 by 400 relay team finished in 4th place. The mens 4 by 1600 relay team finished in 6th place. The womens 4 by 400 relay team finished in 7th place. Nikki Wetstein finished 8th in the 100 meter hurdles.

Emporia High had 2 top 10 finishes. Kylia Floyd had the 3rd best long jump with a leap of 17 feet 2 and a quarter inches. John Williams finished in 7th place in the High Jump, clearing the bar at 6 feet 4 inches.
