Olpe boys win 3rd place at 2-A tournament.

   The Olpe boys started strong and finished strong outscoring Pittsburg-Colgan 61-39, to win 3rd place in the 2-A State tournament.  Olpe finishes the season 22-4.

   Olpe jumped on Colgan early to lead 13-1 after the first quarter and led 32-8 by halftime.  Colgan posted a monster third quarter, outscoring Olpe 23-9, to close the gap to 10 points.  But Olpe responded with a strong 13-2 final quarter.

    Coach Chris Schmidt says it's a great way to finish the season and a great way to send off his Senior class.

   Senior Chance Stout says, while they wanted to play for the State Championship, finishing with a win is a great feeling; but expects some emotions once it sinks in his Olpe career is finished.

    Joe Redeker posted a game-high 17 points to lead the Eagles.  Bo Kreuger added 16.
