(ABC) The number 2nd ranked Wichita State Shockers beat Missouri State 68-45 Saturday, to finish the regular season with a perfect record.
Wichita State (31-0, 18-0 Missouri Valley Conference) is having the best start to a season since the 1990-91 UNLV Running Rebels, which went 34-0 before losing in the national title game.
Cleanthony Early scored a game-high 19 points and added six rebounds for the Shockers, which held Missouri State to 31.4% shooting for the game.
Missouri State (19-11, 9-9) was never in the game. The Bears were behind by double digits from the 13:22 mark of the first half on.
Wichita State becomes the first team since Bradley (1985-86) to finish the season with a perfect record in Missouri Valley Conference play.
