Hornets out score Coyotes 75-49

The Emporia State mens basketball team picked up their first win of the season Thursday night out scoring Kansas Wesleyan 75-49.

 

The Hornets used an 11-0 run in the 1st half to turn a 4 point lead into a 15 point lead and never looked back. Emporia State held a 45-21 lead at halftime and led by as many as 32 points in the 2nd half. Coach Shaun Vandiver called it a good team win.

 

 

Only 2 Hornets scored in double-figures led by Brandon Hall with 11 points. Danny Hodge added 10 points.

 

 

Kansas Wesleyan used 17 players and were led by Raul Neri with 10 points. Emporia State is now 1-2 for the season and will host Drury Saturday afternoon. For Kansas Wesleyan the game was an exhibition game. They continue KCAC play with a home game against Bethany Saturday.
