Chiefs suffer first home loss

(ABC) The San Diego Chargers handed the Kansas City Chiefs their first home loss of the season with a 41-38 last second win on Sunday.

 

Philip Rivers led the team down the field for a game winning drive with 24 seconds remaining. That came aftger Rivers watched Chiefs quarterback Alex Smith lead his team down the field to give them the lead. Rivers finished with three touchdowns and 392 yards in the victory. Smith threw three touchdown passes of his own and had 294 yards with an interception in the loss.

Jamal Charles scored 2 rushing touchdowns for the Chiefs giving him 8 for the season.

 

The Chiefs also suffered two big losses on defense. Both Tamba Hali and Justin Houston left with injuries and are questionable headed into their game next weekend against the Broncos.

The Denver Broncos also suffered their second loss of the season. The New England Patriots rallied for a 34-31 overtime win.
