The Toronto Blue Jays Edged the Kansas City Royals 7-6 in 11 innings Friday night. Josh Donaldsons single scored Troy Tulowitzki from second to end the game. Donaldson finished 3-for-5 with a walk, four RBI and a run scored.

Kyle Busch has the pole for Sundays NASCAR Sprint Cup Windows 10 400 at Pocono. Busch is chasing his 4th straight win and 5th in his last 6 races. Emporia Mens and Womens City golf championship begin Saturday

The pairings are set for the 2015 Emporia mens and womens city golf championships. 11 golfers are entered in the womens tournament. They will play their first round Saturday at the Emporia Country Club beginning at 8am. 37 golfers are entered in the mens tournmaent. They will play their first round Saturday at the Emporia Golf Course beginning at 8am. Dave Watts is the defending mens city champion. Tee times are available at both the Emporia Country Club and Emporia Golf Course.

Chiefs sign running back, welcome vets

The Kansas City Chiefs announced the signing of former Central Missouri running back LaVance Taylor Thursday. The Chiefs were down to using back-up quarterback Chase Daniels as a running back in camp after Keshawn Hill, who is the only running back currently at camp, left practice early with a hamstring issue. The veterans are scheduled to report Friday with the first practice open to the public in St. Joseph, Missouri set for Saturday.
