Megan has
been doing quite a bit of shooting. She competed in the Olympic Team Trials in Anniston, Alabama
the first weekend of December. She did a good job and improved her score each
day and it was an experience of a lifetime. She was shooting against college
teams, army special marksman units, and past olympic champions. She shot next to Jamie Beyerle Gray who competed in the 2008 olympics and is a national gold medialist.
Although she didn't place it was a great learning experience and had exposure
to college coaches.
January 14, 2012 she participated in the USA Shooting Jr. Olympics Tryout for Kansas in Small Bore Rifle and was the Women's State
Champion. This match was held at St. John's
Military Academy
in Salina.
Last
Saturday, January 21, she shot the USA Shooting - Kansas Jr. Olympic Tryouts in
Tonganoxie and was the Kansas
