An Emporia man accused of pointing a gun at a woman and her infant child has been bound over for trial in Lyon County District Court.
Casey Wayne Bess, 30, appeared at a preliminary hearing Monday. Bess has pleaded not guilty to single counts of aggravated assault, domestic battery and misdemeanor child endangerment.
Emporia Police arrested Bess Nov. 14 following a disturbance in the 1100 block of Woodland Street. Bess is accused of getting into a verbal altercation with a woman that allegedly led to physical contact before he allegedly threatened the woman with a gun in hand while the woman held an infant child.
Bess is due back in court at 2 pm Feb. 23 for a pretrial conference.
