One person was injured following a two-vehicle crash Sunday morning in south Emporia.
According to police, just after 11 a.m. a minivan and an SUV collided at the intersection of East 2nd and Sylvan Street near Sacred Heart School. The SUV was northbound on Sylvan when it failed to yield at the uncontrolled intersection and struck the westbound minivan. The SUV continued into the front yard of a residence at the northwest corner of the intersection.
The driver of the van was transported by ambulance to Newman Regional Health with unknown injuries. Her name was not released. The driver of the other vehicle was not transported.
