More good news continues for the United Way of the Flint Hills as it continues pushing toward its campaign goal.
The United Way is about 70 percent of the way toward it's $580,000 goal with $407,500 raised. Executive Director Jami Reever, a guest on the KVOE Newsmaker 2 program Tuesday morning, says they've been blown away by increased giving in workplace campaigns, noting the success from long-time supporters the City of Emporia and Newman Regional Health.
Reever adds that many of their corporate donors are inspiring employees to increase giving.
The United Way campaign is expected to wrap up in January.
