Dine United is at The Granada Coffee Company this week to benefit the United Way of The Flint Hills. Manager Bev Beers says donating is always a challenge for small businesses.
Alongside donating 15 percent of their sales Thursday, the Granada Coffee Company also has randomly marked special discounts on bottoms of cups which Beers says has motivated people to buy more drinks. Customers are also able to donate directly through a donation cup. All proceeds from the cup will go to the United Way.
United Way Executive Director Jami Reever says they are on pace to reach their goal of $580,000. Dine United will be at Granada Coffee Company until 7 P.M. tonight.
