One person was transported Tuesday afternoon following a one vehicle collision in the 2000 block of Road F5 (the Americus Road).
Deputies from the Lyon County Sheriff's Office and Lyon County emergency personnel responded to the scene pulling the vehicle from the west ditch about a half-mile north of the S curve. 61-year-old Beverly Shown of Americus was northbound when her vehicle left the roadway and went into the ditch. The vehicle launched over a driveway, coming to rest partially in the roadway.
Shown was transported by ambulance to Newman Regional Health with unknown injuries.
The accident remains under investigation by the Lyon County Sheriff's Office.

Emergency personnel responded to a reported injury accident in the 2000 block of Road F5 (Americus Road) Tuesday afternoon shortly before 2 p.m.
One vehicle had to be pulled from the west ditch, about a half mile north of the S curve. Members of the Lyon County Sheriff's Office and Lyon County EMS responded at the scene. It is not clear if anyone was transported.
