Nominations for Master Teachers are currently being accepted

The Master Teachers Program is currently accepting nominations for the 2018 class of honorees.
Emporia State University began the program in 1954 to honor teachers who have served long and well and exemplified outstanding qualities of earnest and conscientious teaching.  Each year seven teachers from Kansas school districts are selected from the pool of nominees by a search committee at ESU.  Each winner will receive a $1,000 stipend from Bank of America Charity to use for professional learning.  This year's class of winners will be announced February 27 2018.
Program coordinator Lucy Eusey (You-see) says they strive to reach out to each nominees district in order to gain support for the efforts given each year by teachers in Kansas.
Nominations for the 2018 class are being accepted until January 17.  For more information on the Master Teachers Program visit www.Emporia.edu/teach/master or call Lucy Eusey at 620-341-5830.
