Tye Dye Run splashes into ESU Family Weekend

The Nitty Gritty Tye Dye 5K Run as part of ESU Family Day put runners through five different color stations across ESU Campus.
Community Hornets coordinator Brooke Bailey says donating to local non profits makes it all the more fun.

Colorful runner Bob Schif got doused at Saturday's 5K and says he enjoyed the event.

Bailey says they donate three three local non profit: Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Flint Hills, Camp Alexander, and Emporia Child Care. The Tye Dye run Bailey says ties up their Seven Days of Service which is just another small part of how Community Hornets offer a way to impact the Emporia community.

Starting at 8:30 A.M. from Kellogg Circle runners made it through all five color stations with an extra splash of color being added at the end of the course this year.
