Perry to be sentenced on robbery and burglary charges

Sentencing is scheduled Tuesday for an Alabama man convicted of aggravated robbery and burglary in Lyon County.

Jacob Paul Perry broke into a house near BETO Junction, robbing a person at gunpoint on Jan. 17. He also stole a truck near Reading at gunpoint before leading a chase towards Emporia. Perry agreed to a plea of no contest back in June. A sentencing hearing is scheduled for 9:30 a.m.

In addition, Perry also is being arraigned in Coffey County this week on charges of aggravated robbery and kidnapping. That hearing will take place Thursday at 9 a.m.
