Document destruction event coming to Emporia

12:25 pm Monday: If you have documents to shred, the Kansas Attorney General's Office has something for you Tuesday.
The office is holding a special document destruction event from 4-6 pm at the Lyon County Fairgrounds. Three boxes or bags is the amximum for this event.
The Attorney General's Office is offering this service to mark National Consumer Protection Week across Kansas and give residents opportunities to fight identity theft, which has fast become among the most serious forms of crime worldwide. The Emporia event is one of 12 scheduled statewide.
