The North Lyon County School Board has a couple main points of business for its meeting Monday.

The North Lyon County School Board is planning more talk about its upcoming bond election for a new K-12 school campus during its regular meeting Wednesday night.

In a few days, voters in the North Lyon County School District will cast their ballots on a pivotal topic for the district: whether to consolidate current schools in Americus and Reading as well as Northern Heights outside Allen into a K-12 campus near Roads 260 and L.

Lyon County commissioners were invited to a special landowner meeting before their regularly-scheduled study session Wednesday. This meeting delved into the proposed plans for U.S. Highway 50 access management.

Over the coming months, planners associated with KDOT will begin looking at potential new access points along U.S. Highway 50 just west of Emporia.
