The Dirty Kanza (DK) is now only two months away, and the 6th annual DK Training Camp is almost upon us.
Beginning this Thursday, a host of cyclists have registered for this four-day event which includes both mental and physical training, food clinics, and several instructional presentations. Operations Manager for the DK, Lelan Dains explains it’ll be a busy several days.
Registration reached full capacity back in the fall of 2018, with more than half the participants coming from out-of-state. Each registered cyclist is guaranteed a spot in the DK, and this gives those not native to the Flint Hills a chance to acclimate to the scene before the race in June.
While registration is closed for this event, Dains says not to fret as there will be a similar one coming this summer.
The DK Training Camp kicks off on Thursday, and for more information on this event and more, go online to dirtykanza.com.
