USD 252 Southern Lyon County Superintendent Mike Argabright is among 19 public and private school administrators recently named to the Commissioner’s Task Force on Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief and Emergency Assistance for Nonpublic Schools Funding Oversight. The committee will oversee two separate federal revenue streams, $368 million in ESSER II funds and $26 million in EANS funds, and will offer districts and parochial schools planning approval for using the funds, which are “focused on supporting student learning and student needs associated with the COVID-19 pandemic.”
ESSER II funds must be spent by September 2023. The task force will be active until summer 2023 and will meet Fridays beginning Feb. 26.
