
On Wednesday, Bosiljevac pleaded guilty to one count of attempted unlawful sexual relations between a teacher and student. He also pleaded guilty to one count of indecent liberties with a child between the ages of 14 and 16.
Bosiljevac was arrested in late May and formally charged with three counts of indecent liberties, two of attempted sexual exploitation, two of attempted unlawful sexual relations and one of sexual battery. The severity level on the exploitation charges and one indecent liberties count was reduced in August.
All remaining counts were dropped as part of the agreement reached Wednesday.
Prosecutors initially said Prosecutors say Bosiljevac was allegedly involved with six teenagers ranging in age from 14 to 17, with alleged activity between July 2016 and last February, when he was fired..
Bosiljevac had taught at Emporia High 14 years before his termination. USD 253 Emporia did not give specifics at the time, but in a statement it listed several alleged violations of board policy:
*Failing to demonstrate sound judgment
*Violating the district’s sexual harassment policy
*Violating the district’s policy on staff-student relations
*Violating the district’s ethics policy
*Violating the district’s policy on providing a safe learning environment
*Failing to maintain a positive learning environment
Sentencing is set for March 10.
