Donations of all non-perishable food are needed as well as personal hygiene items, especially for women. On KVOE's Newsmaker segment Tuesday, Major Deb Thompson said this comes at a time when the Salvation Army is seeing more demand as a whole. It's also seeing increased demand through larger families and residents who haven't needed help for several years.
The drive is Oct. 8. As has been the case since the outset, residents and business owners can simply call KVOE Promotions Manager Erren Harter at 342-1400, email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or message the Bluestem Farm and Ranch text line at 620-342-5863 with their address. On Oct. 8, residents can leave their donations on their front porches or driveways and businesses can set aside space in their buildings for pickup by KVOE staff and volunteers
