The National Teachers Hall of Fame is in the final days before the annual radio auction heard a week from Thursday on KVOE and KVOE.com.
The silent auction is underway now at the Emporia State Federal Credit Union west branch at 24th and Industrial.
Hall of Fame Director Carol Strickland, a guest on KVOE's Morning Show on Wednesday, said there are some changes to the silent auction taking place the rest of this week.
The fighting is figurative, of course, but patrons also have the opportunity this year to buy silent auction items directly if they want to pay the full value of the items plus a small premium for the Hall of Fame.
Silent auction items include sports memorabilia, food, trips, collector's items, health items, pet wares and the like. A special live auction preview will take place at the credit union from 5 tp 7 pm Friday evening as silent auction bids close at 7 pm that evening.
The live auction will be at 6:05 pm Nov. 21 on KVOE and KVOE.com. All proceeds benefit upcoming induction activities. For more information and a list of auction items, go to KVOE.com or www.nthf.org.
Strickland will update the silent auction process at 8:10 am Thursday and again at 8:10 am Friday on 14 KVOE.
