An Emporia man facing two sets of charges in a methamphetamine investigation has a pretrial hearing on one set of counts Tuesday.
Wes Gohring of 1101 Union has a pretrial hearing at 11 am in Lyon County District Court. Gohring faces seven counts of manufacturing a controlled substance and one count of possessing ephedrine as a precursor to making meth.
Gohring also has a pretrial hearing Nov. 27 on the second set of charges. He faces 11 counts in that case, including two each of meth distribution, illegal use of a communication facility and not having a drug tax stamp.
Both sets of charges follow alleged meth activity in mid-August.
Gohring does not have potential trial dates set in either case, but his two co-defendants do. Michelle Hernandez-Correa has potential trial dates of Nov. 25, Dec. 2 or Dec. 16 on 11 counts, including meth distribution and illegal use of a communication facility. Dave Wasylk, who also has a pretrial hearing Nov. 27 on aiding and abetting charges, could face trial Feb. 24 or 26 or possibly March 3, depending on further court proceedings.
