Dense fog has made for slower than normal travel across much of Kansas on Monday morning.
The soupy conditions led to a dense fog advisory impacting Lyon and several surrounding counties until noon.
The fog is expected to give way to partly sunny conditions for Monday afternoon -- and increasing chances of storms by Monday evening. WIBW-TV meteorologist Drew Switzer anticipates numerous rain chances through Thursday afternoon, and the National Weather Service says area residents could pick up one to three inches of rain before the rain ends around noon on Halloween.
