The Farmers Market regular season finale was held Saturday. If you're thinking you can't get fresh fruits and vegetables now that the regular season is over, think again.
The winter market begins Nov. 2 at the Humanitarian Center, and market manager Tracy Simmons is anticipating a good number of vendors participating again through April.
Simmons says final vendor and revenue totals for the regular season are pending, but she believes this year could be at or near record levels for both categories. Much of the growing season was dry until late July and early August, when flooding rains soaked the listening area.
