Wings and Wheels shows off new runway

The new runway at the Emporia Municipal Aircraft saw its fair share of aircraft today during the first Wings and Wheels open house.

Brian Cornell has been a flight instructor at the airport for three months and says it was a good opportunity to let the tax payers see the new runway and promote the airport to area pilots.

Viewers had the chance to check out a number of aircraft up close, including single and twin engine aircraft, helicopters, gliders, hot air balloons, a sky diving demonstration and a car show.
