The annual Friends of the Emporia Public Library fall book sale is now settling in as a weeklong affair.
For years, the sale went Friday through Wednesday. Thursday was added last year and the extra day returns again this year with the book sale beginning Friday for non-Friends members.
Co-chair Joan Sheridan, a Newsmaker guest this week, said the last day of the sale is a good one for folks wanting even bigger savings than normal.
The sale runs during normal library hours, meaning 9 am to 6 pm Friday, 11 am to 5 pm Saturday and 9 am to 8 pm Monday through Thursday.
