Authorities say double murder suspect Kevin Welsh may still be either in Eureka or very close by after failing to apprehend him Monday night.
Greenwood County authorities searched parts of north central Eureka for several hours Monday evening, trying unsuccessfully to locate Welsh.
The Kansas Attorney General's Office, which is leading the investigation, says Welsh is considered as armed and dangerous.
The search for Welsh began almost two weeks ago after he allegedly murdered Keith and Sheila Kriesel and injured Sheila Kriesel's daughter, Catherine Scheff, as part of a domestic violence incident just outside Eureka on Oct. 2.
If you have information, call 911 or 800-KS-CRIME. A $5,000 reward has been authorized for information leading to Welsh and his capture.
