Over $57,000 raised for Newman Regional Health Foundation through Denim and Diamonds event

The Newman Regional Health Foundation announced Wednesday the total proceeds from this year's Denim and Diamonds events.

Over $57,000 was raised through the 5th annual event on Aug. 1. Foundation Director Jodi Heerman says new activities this year, including the Kick Off BBQ in June and the D&D Trade Show and Dining for Denim and Diamonds in July helped spur excitement for this year's event.

The money raised will be used to purchase a new Sonosite ultrasound for the Jones Cardiovascular Lab, a surgical table for the Surgery Department, and future Foundation projects.

Nearly 300 people filled Webb Hall for this year's event, which featured live and silent auctions, live music, and one person going home with a blue and white diamond pendant from Kari's Diamonds.
