15-year old Arturo Palafox pleaded guilty to felony theft and aggravated robbery in Lyon County District Court Tuesday.
Palafox pleaded guilty to aggravated robbery in the Short Stop robbery case, in which Palafox used a stolen handgun. The other charge stems from a theft case back in April at Emporia High School. All other charges against him have been dropped by the Lyon County Attorney's Office, as part of a plea agreement between the state and Palafox's attorney, Clark Allemang. Those dropped charges include misdemeanor theft and criminal damage in the Emporia High case, and two counts of misdemeanor theft in the Short Stop case.
Sentencing for Palafox is slated for September 9.
