This year's Denim and Diamonds was heavily-attended, filling ESU's Webb Hall with music and people.
Newman Regional Health Foundation director Jodi Heerman is pleased.
The event featured silent and live auctions, live music from Manhattan-based band Main Street, and wine and craft beer grab bags for $20. New this year was a "Diamond Dig" sponsored by Kari's Diamonds, and chances to win a one-carat blue-and-white diamond pendant from Kari's Diamonds and Bridal worth almost $7,000.
Proceeds will help purchase a Sonosite Ultrasound in the cardiovascular lab, and a surgical table in the surgery department. NRH CEO Bob Wright says the Foundation is a "gift to the community."
Fundraising totals are pending. Of notable mention, the chance to ride in the LifeTeam helicopter over the Flint Hills was auctioned off for $650.
