Operators of farm stands and vendors of the Emporia Farmers Market are in for a number of changes regarding the packaging and sales of home-made goods. Luckily the Flint Hills Technical College is hosting a class detailing all the new regulations.
Community Connections Coordinator Jessica Hopkins says new rules touch everything from baked items to jams, jellies, and spices.
Cost of the class is only $5 and Emporia vendors are encouraged to attend the class on Tuesday, Oct. 22, from 6 to 8 p.m.
Preregistration is prefered and can be done by calling 341-1392 or register online at FHTC.edu.
