Advance voting underway

Advance voting has begun across the state ahead of the Aug. 5 primary.

Here in Lyon County, residents can either use touch-screen voting machines or fill out a paper ballot at the County Courthouse through noon Aug. 4. Voters are told to bring a photo ID such as a drivers license, military ID, college ID, passport or approved government badge to start the process.

Voter registration ended Tuesday. For more information about advance voting, call the County Clerk's Office at 341-3245 or go online to www.lyoncounty.org.

KVOE News and KVOE.com will have complete election coverage Aug. 5, including developing results and candidate reactions after all the votes are counted.
