KVOE's Candidate Profile series continues with a look at Patrick Wiesner, a Democrat running for a U.S. Senate seat.
Wiesner says his mission would be setting up programs that would take care of national defense, retirees and schoolchildren, and eventually pay off the nation's biggest bills.
Wiesner has been a tax attorney for over 20 years, and a Certified Public Accountant for 30 years. He's also served in the Army Reserves.
Wiesner also says he'd work to improve health care for veterans, by giving them more access to more healthcare options. He also says he'll never pass a law he hasn't fully read, and never let a lobbyist draft a bill.
Wiesner is from Ellis, Kan., and is one of eight children. He is a graduate of Fort Hays State University, and has two grown children of his own.
