Emporia State faculty and staff served up a sweet treat in Union Square Monday.
ESU's Ice Cream Social scooped up bowls of cold ice cream for anybody who wandered by Monday afternoon, including children at daycare and maintenance staff.
Flavors ranged from pecan praline to rainbow sherbet, to standard chocolate and mint chocolate chip. There was also a sugar-free option.
ESU faculty and staff took turns at serving, including ESU President Dr. Michael Shonrock. The ice cream social is an annual tradition that's free and open to the public.
